What are ya'lls opinion on New Plant Growth late in the season and at the same time a bunch of new weight being added to the kin. I've stepped up the Plant growth to replace leaves that have died out and at the same time have noticed a huge surge in pumpkin growth. Every 4 days I've been foliar spraying Fast Calcium, Mollasses, and Humic. In the last month I've reintroduced Soil restore and Mycorrhizal Stimulants to awakin the soil again for some extra nutient intake. Is it normal for new Plant Growth to encourage Vast Pumpkin Growth or is it out of the norm and probably due to my quick (crazy) feed cycle with heated water. Just curious if anyone has any comments or experience to this. 1308 Barenie Kin is in the 70's for dap. Hope I'm "able" to see the forest for the Trees here, just trying to take notes and learn all I can on a wingin it basis, lol. Thanks for any Input. Joseph

Pumpkins grow on a bell curve. If youve got one doing a conjoined bell curve youve reinvented the wheel.Good luck-keep good records.

cojoe, I thought of the same thing on the Bell Curve like many squash producing plants do. In the past three weeks the Barenie plant is somewhat reborn with better leaves and vines than it started with and twice thee amount. The original main vine is rock solid besides huge..I may have answered my oun question here in a sense. Still lookin for input though..thanks and yes I'm keeping records on everything. Can't wait to dig the main trunk up and inspect the roots under and around the 2 1/2" feeding tube. I unearthed part of the main trunk and part of it measures over 8 inches across..Crazy or maybe thats normal heck I don't know, lol.

i like to just pinch off the third stage growth tops that shows after late august. i believe that new leaf growth helps a older plant continue to feed and helps the fruit a bit. who knows? but common sence would make one think its beneficial in the stretch. pap
