New record set at Puyallup Fair by Robin Halbert last night. 1248.5 and new personal best. However, he lost out in the Howard Dill Competition to a far superior pumpkin in color and symmetry. Accept this loss and move on. Placing one of your sorry ass skunks on my deck this morning gets my vote for a new record in unsportsmanlike conduct. That is reserved for Colorado rivalries.

OK let me get this straight ..he won the weigh-off with the heaviest pumpkin ... but didn't win the HD award for best looking ..thought he should have .. was pissed then left a dead skunk on your deck( you must have been 1 of the judges)..lol..the part I don't get is where Colorado comes in ...do they do that there..? everybody I've met from there were actually really nice people

Bob, great job on your 1rst place Puyallup Fair Squash. And bringing home 2 nice ribbons with the Howard Dill Award at that! Well, What do you know. The Winners of the 1rst place pumpkin and the 1rst place squash at the fair this year are neighbors. That's pretty cool. And bob, there's nothing like a skunk exchanged between friends.

Dale. Skunk was alive. Scared hell out of my wife drove dogs crazy. They had four skunks there a week ago. I just know he sent one my way. We are neighbors and I helped him load the big one. Just a competitive road with rivalry and a little talking smack ahead of time. 1st and 3rd were your seed.

Just a butt. I have mentored him the last few years and am proud of his success with a personal best and Fair record. I just have to listen to him for another whole year. I just wish he would keep the skunks at his end of the road. I mean he had this one trained to come our way in the middle of the day. Need to work on my marksmanship. Shooting on the run, trying to miss the tractor, And avoid collateral damage with the barn and wife's car. The skunk won this round only because one dog was out. With four they would have taken him out at a price.

Colorado people are nice. They do have a bit of a rivalry going there with definitely some smack. I m sure things will heat up in the next month.
