Had hail tonight and my biggest pumpkin the plant looks like some one shot the leaves with a shotgun. It is a real really bad! My pumpkin is 800 pounds is there any hope that I can still get to 1000 pounds?
It is a really big bummer this was my best pumpkin ever and I thought for sure it was going to be the year I broke 1000 pounds

if your plant is still healthy the leaves will regrow some and you only need another 200 lbs, i think u can get there

Do NOT give up on it! Forget that you even had hail and continue as you were. Just keep an eye on vine injuries.

As long as the main is not severe...Give it a shot of fungicide and kelp...The healthiest plant going into late fall I ever had was shredded by hail

YEs it will still grow. Look at the vines...see if there are holeZ....let them dry....they will heal over.....hang in there....

Look at Chris Stevens' diary from 2010, his world record year, and see what hail did to his plants. Stick with it!
