My husband’s affair!
My husband is having an affair. He knows I know that it’s been going on for six years. There are many days I never think about it, but then many days I feel like putting my foot down and ending that damned relationship. After all, he and I have been married for 20 years and I should come first!!! Our kids know ,too! Sometimes they feel ignored as well.
We ask ourselves what she has that we don’t. She’s high maintenance, for sure!! Not just the money that she drains from our finances, but the hours of time she demands, daily. She certainly is not a conversationalist, but she definitely enjoys being admired. And eat and drink!!!!! It’s non-stop and it definitely shows. If I acted like that it certainly wouldn’t get me anywhere, but in a hospital bed.
So why, you ask, do we tolerate it? Well, the long and short of it is she’s a prize! She brings smiles to our faces and provides us with many special memories. Furthermore she’s only around from April to October ( the time between October and April is hockey season, but that’s a story left to be told another day!).Secretly, the kids and I probably love her just as much as he does. I know, I know-what kind of well educated woman sits back and takes it and encourages her kids to, as well?
