The only other option is to break down the fence! :)

HA! no, I don't have a big one and don't need a crane at my current place... looking at a new place that wouldn't "require" a crane, but it sure would make it easier... or a bobcat- how much to rent one of those for the day?

I need only 2 people as my pumpkin is not growing but the weeds love all the myco I layed down for them. Also they love the fact that the critters love pumpkin vines rather then plain old grass! Hehehe

what i use is a russian helicopter, there fairly cheap on craigs list, this guy used it only once , he said something about pulling a wooly mammoth out of the ice, i think he lied,i was scraping some paint off of it the other day and it said "cherynoble survey team" under the paint, good deal anyway, arms and leggs getting itchy, not sure why?????

Usually price varies by location, but I can get a 130' (maybe 150' with the jib) for $145 an hour. They charge time from the time they leave the yard until they shut the machine off back at the yard. I would budget about $450 and hope you get off a bit cheaper. If you are thinking about I crane it must be good.

DO you have any other pumpkins growing ?? -- you might be able to find someone that has a crane that would do it for you if you have a second one they could display or use for a contest or something back at the rental company or for their kids (never hurts to make some calls)

I got 980 out of BiZ's Secret Garden....backyard...by creating two mechanical pivot pointZ and pulling the pallet with my Dodge Diesel...I put the pumpkin on pallet onto of roll pinZ...worked quite well....guided it out....no problem...Pete

I may have the same crane issue with mine. My other idea is to contact the San Jose State football team and hire 5-6 300 lb linemen.
