Yesterday was the patch tour....a great event! Growers came from far & wide to attend. We welcomed guests from NY, MA, IN, NC, MI, PA & OH, and who knows where else! Visiting with everyone was the icing on the cake....and there was plenty of that at the steak & chicken dinner. If you ever wanted to learn, this was the day! What more could a grower want, than to browse through Quinn Werner & Dave Stelts patches and have the opportunity to ask them questions? And grower Glenn Orr told us about his patch of very healthy plants. Jerry Snyder has his own concept of how to grow a pumpkin patch....beautiful indeed! He gave me the OK to post some photos in my diary. Plus, he and his family so graciously served lunch. Thank you, to each person that had some part in organizing and presenting this day to us. Your efforts are much appreciated. And topping the day off with all those door prizes ended the day with some fun.

Great tour and worth the long drive! Met some great people, put some faces to BP names. Patches were incredible. I was in state of panic when I got back this afternoon and saw mine!! WEEDS!! OMG. I dont think I saw one on the tour. Tim should be commended for the excellent job hosting/MCing/interviewing at each stop and dinner. High class act!!

Could not have said it better. Didn't get home till this afternoon and I went at the main and found 3 svb grubs underneath all the leaves that shouldn't be there. I have a new appreciation for what it takes to take it to another level.
The interaction with the growers and the Q&A was priceless. To bad I don't remember the answers. Shoulda been there.
