I know this post may ruffle a few feathers but i've posted it before...the topic i'll mention is secrets. People claim that there are growers out there that have a bunch of tricks and secrets. Its funny because those heavy hitters usually spend a ton of time in their patches weeding watering fertilizing and inspecting. I guess thats one of the secrets out there. Most big growers will share any new tricks they've come up with. my question is whats your secret???

As well as Experience, acquire as much knowledge as possible from everyones tried and true methods and apply it to my own growing. Even if it is one litle thing from one person. There is a wealth of knowledge out there already, you just have to go find it and know how to use it. EDUCATION!!

I think Pap just gave us the best most sought after secret.....i lost a good pumpkin last year but the knowledge I got from growing that thing was priceless. I still have way more to learn but hope not to lose more pumpkins to have to learn it.

My secret Is a lot of work, and not in the patch. More hours at work keeps me out of the patch. I'm my own worse enemy. lol.

Was that a friendly shot Carl, because friendly shots I can handle.
As far as a WR in my patch, not likely but I do have 6 plants, 6 fruit. All growing. Some better than others. :-)

Taking notes is huge for me. I don't always remember every mistake I made and the changes I want to make for next year, but when I write them down I can stare at them all winter.
