What is the average weight gained in August? If I have a pumpkin that is 700 pounds the end of July how much should it grow in August if at the end of July it was averaging weight gains of 27 pounds.

Maybe a better judge of what's to come is your half weight day. Looking back on my records last year my pumpkins all were at their half weight between day 36 and day 38. So if you can keep a healthy plant til the end that may give you an idea of the pumpkins potential.

Tanner D40 is going to be VERY ROUGHLY half your growth in weight. If you have a great plant and great growing pumpkin maybe a bit less than half. This is with "pretty normal" weather.
I'm afraid this season with the heat wreaking havoc on the plant D40 may be more than half.
Obviously the wheels CAN come off at any time dependent on many things (plant pruning, size, disease, watering, etc...etc....
