I have removed 6 vine bores so far and they are all only half an inch from entry hole(very little damage) How long does it take them to really cause some damage after entry?? The reason I ask is that I do not like walking in my patch because of fear of compaction.I will go in less often if I can get away with it!!! Any Input. Thanks!!!

If you found one hole, there are more than likely others. They enter the stalks at top and base, stems, vines, and I even had one bore straight into a pumpkin. You need to prevent from entering at all by protecting the plant.
