Hows everybodys 1789 plants doing. There was some speculation that the 1789 was growing at a 2000 plus pace and I'm starting to believe it.My 1789 has the most aggressive rooting Ive ever seen and very vigourous vegetation. The pumpkin was small early but starting to really pick it up.So far its been a extreme plant and fun to watch. Just wondering what other freaks are doing out there in pumpkin land.

I do agree that it is a superb plant, my stump is far bigger that a can of soda, relentless vigor, and everything else one could hope for. My first two blooms aborted but I have #3 and #4 on the line now. They are growing slow initially but that is most likely my fault. The fruits are very round and tall, not long.

It's the best thing I have going, and it is very heat tollerant. These plants set out roots faster than leaves. Very impressed with it

I lost my first 2 pollinated flowers. I'm still waiting for the 3rd. Should be any day now. I do have something growing on a side vine which is 7 days old. I really want something on the main though. I'll be behind, however, I'm hoping that it will catch up given that this plant has so much vigor. Everything on this plant is beefy. The roots, stump, vines, stems, flowers... everything. It's certainly fun to watch grow. I only wish my 1st pollination took on June 22nd. It would of been perfect. It was in a great spot too about 18' out on the main. :-(

I put the final slice in my first set tonight,it felt pretty heavy, I might throw it on a scale to see what it weighed. Set # 2 put on 6 inches CC since yesterday morning. We will see how it goes with that vine split. Both are in my diary.

I had a pumpkin blow up on me on day 17. Great looking plant, early pollination date. Man, everything was going according to plan, then BAM!! It seemed to good to be true. I love this hobby and hate it at the same time.

After a real slow start because of me. It has really amazed me. You can see the beast coming out of it now. Just got one started on Weds. Let the fun begin.
