Who ever grows the biggest one this year will get the orange jacket, it has nothing to do with past years and it doesn't have to be a world record.

Hi Ron - yes, the orange jacket is awarded by Port Elgin Pumpkinfest to the largest pumpkin grown internationally that can be proven with pictures and substantiated by witnesses. The blazer is presented at the International Giant Vegetable Growers Convention, held in Niagara Falls, Ontario during the second weekend of March annually.
