Hi all, I pollinated a female this morning and I am a little concerned the way the lobes were set up in the flower. They were not set up nice and picture perfect. They had a slight jostled look to them. There was also, what I will call a strand which was a tiny part of another half lobe. Is it likely that I would get a mishapened fruit that might have a better chance of splitting due to the lobes growing in strange directions? Or is this no big deal? Thank you

Hi Kathy...See my posting on weird looking pumpkin. When I pollinated there were three normal looking nodes and one that was basically white (others orangeish). Within two days it was apparent that the pumpkin wasn't right. All you can do is wait for the next female flower, which I would pollinate in the event that your first one aborts.
