1818 Mark, many big ones have been gorwn off of 4 lobes. including 1807, both 1725s ...the list goes on

So whats better a 4 lobe on a secondary or a 5 lobe on the main ?

Josh, I think it means more seed sections. I've only been present for the seed extraction of about 8 pumpkins, and the different sections have had differnt numbers of seeds, so not sure more sections means more seeds. Dasnowskier, Most people agree that the pumpkin on the main vine will get bigger in the long run than a side vine pumpkin.
