Don't measure every day..do 7 day measurements..it takes the fluctuations out and mis-measurements..gives a much more accurate assessment of how the fruit is growing..hope this helps..Mark

Why do people feel it necessary to attack people or make fun of them? Does it make you feel superior in some way? It makes you look mean spirited and is certainly not helpful. This is why many people have stop posting on this board. If you don't have something that is useful to say, kindly keep your smart remarks to yourself.
For those that can't interpret Paul's question, and would like to say something useful to help him, He would like to know -- from experience people, why he is getting large gains on one day and nothing the next. He is just passing his PB and nearing a TX record. I'm sure he would appreciate some useful feedback.

I kind of agree with Milford. Measuring every day might be getting the tape measure in a different place and it is taking two days to see the smaller changes that are happening from day to day. But you also told me a few weeks back you were watering every other day. I think that even watering every day will keep gains more even than a huge surge of water one day and nothing the next. I hope some more experienced growers with some helpful advice will chime in.

good luck on breaking the record for texas paul, i hope you shatter it.oh, and i strongly agree with cecil, why do people keep trying to embarass someone who is asking a serious question?paul fights heat even worse than mine, and that is not easy to do, so instead of making fun of him, why not try and help him ?oh, and paul, dont forget that turbo juice from kentucky ,lol

Paul, I would have a tissue test done, this way you know what you may be lacking nutrient wise, if anything, and you can fine tune your fertilizing. I agree with the even watering. If there is anything that I can do to help, just let me know. Tom

Paul, good luck breaking the record. I am pretty new, but I would just remind you that in the heat you should consider watering more often with smaller amounts each time. Watering twice a day in the heat is better. Keep your feeding and spray schedule consistant. Slow and steady when it is hot. Mist your plant, the whole area around the plant and shade it to keep it healthy. Keeping the temperature around the plant low is just as important as keeping the plant and fruit temp down. Especially watch all the new tender growth from getting sunburn. Grow em BIG!
