during the scorching spells i mist from 11am thru 4:30 pm to five pm. i mist for five minutes every fourty five to fifty-five minutes here the last couple days in little rhody.
had some pollinations yesterday and today. all hail the ice-fan-shade cover.
misting is very helpfull early on as well.those first few days after pollination are critical that the plant not be stressed ----especially if its going to be hot and sunny.
ps---dont forget to remove the female flower a couple day s after pollination. you dont want it rotting and laying down on the segments. pap
