How many side vines does everybody prefer before their chosen fruit? I have a nice pumpkin on my 1789 wallace and it only has 7 or 8 side vines (on each side) before it. Yet on my 1495 stelts I have a pumpkin at 10.5 feet and it has 8 or 9.
What does everyone prefer? Any info would be great!

anywhere from 8-12 sides before the fruit is good. no real numbers to crunch though. i supposed if you got a good one on the hook they numbers are useless. the main reason to get as many as possible is because usually the first couple to three sets of sides are worthless the farther on you get into the late season. pap
