hi, i used bamboo ticks to get the man to lay down. during a rain storm with the wind the bamboo rubbed a hole into the main. its not svb, no saw dust or rot. it was at point of bamboo contact only. i removed the stick and dont know weather to let it heal, or cut the seed leafs below and bury it for protection. any veterans got an opinion? Thanks in advance "rookie" AG grower

I am certainly not veteran but I have dealt with hail holes in my vines the last three years. I like to let them dry out first and then bury them. If you soil is dry already, just bury them. If the soil is wet, treat it with Sulphur or Captan and let them dry then bury it once it dries out. I have had pretty good luck with bad hail damage doing this.
