A few questions…

1.)    Have you applied anything to the leaves recently?

2.)    When did you notice it occurring?

3.)    How fast is it spreading?

4.)    When (days ago) did the plant come out of the cold-frame?

These will help me pinpoint the potential problem.

It looks like the only leaf that is effected is the one closest to the stump. These leaves usually don't survive. The rest of the plant looks good. Not telling you what to do,but I would cut that leaf off.The leaves around the stump are not as important as leaves on secondary and on main out past the secondaries.Keep the stump dry.

Got to say it looks like sunburn to me.

Looks like sun-scald to me. It might continue to spread if you have some strong sunny days, so if you can mist the plant that would reduce the spreading.

I have to agree, looks like sunburn to me, especially if it is not getting any worse. We are getting alot this year in our patch. We took some tissue tests to see if a nutrient problem is perhaps contributing.

I have to agree on the sunburn diagnosis. Although we are currently experiencing cooler than normal temperatures right now, we are also under a strong dome of high pressure. Nothing filtering those UV rays.
