I was looking your direction Wiz during the storms. Lots of lightning your way and I was hoping the best for you and Biz. We only got maybe 1/4 inch of rain here but the sky looked scary.

I got nailed bad. Great 1451 Scherber plant that was rediculously agressive. I need to see if cojoe can get me another seed or 2, I really want to grow this plant. Hopefully the growing tips are ok to keep going after the shock. About 80% of leaves are gone down to the veins. The other 20% are battered bad. Main vine was buried so I think it's ok. I think I might try and get the hoop house back over it before tonight's dose. It is going to take some TLC to bring this back. Any advise would be great.

Colorado has a very high frequency of hail ,some places average 9 hailstorms per year according to this map. I think hail netting should almost be required. There is pretty much nothing you can do for the wind though. That must have been a terrible storm just looking at the picture. Overall I am surprised you guys manage to get anything considering how harsh Colorado is.lol If effort was factored in Colorado would have the WR.

Netting last night would of came down at my house....3" of hail covered the yard.no way would of it supported the weight..it looked like winter at 1:00 in the AM.

JaredZ survived this round only because they were still in the hooperZ...what ever waZ hanging out, got blasted.....

I learned my lesson three years ago and got hail netting after a massive storm. Although hail netting wouldn't have saved my plants in that storm and what some of the growers saw yesterday. Welcome to hail capital USA! It sucks.

Gees!!! I was wondering about you and Biz, Wiz!!!! We are down by Parker, have 3 plants all covered with wire mesh cages. (Keep the critters out until they are larger.) Unfortunately only 1 cage was small mesh. The other 2 have larger openings and plants got nailed!!! We have them covered with fabric for this next go-around!!! The cages should be strong enough to hold up the wet fabric.....I hope!!!

1.65 inches of rain here with a little hail mixed in. Plants are still covers and were not touched. Partly cloudy with sunshine here in the foothills but can see heavy storm clouds over town.

You can buy hail netting from American Clay Works in Denver. I have my entire garden covered. I will post pictures later, but we had close to baseball size hail just east of us. Luckily a gas station was near by so I only sustained minor damage to the vehicle and had to wait about a 1/2 hour. All the storm chasers are in our area tracking tornadoes. (Texas,Kansas,.........I thought they had enough of their own tornadoes in their area, then to come up to Cheyenne.

I think I saw QuiZzy with his storm making doppler radar machine and a few more drone Wabbitz. I would suspect that what you have been experencing is all a part of his master plan to GrowZem bigger by creating havoc in yourZ area. Ill do what I can to defuse his plot.
