I'm not sure about a license in Colorado but there are rabbit seasons. It appears Wiz the Fish & Game people are not pumpkin growers because the seasons are just before and just after the growing season:
Cottontail Rabbit, Snowshoe Hare, White-tailed and Black Tailed Jackrabbit - Statewide Oct. 1-Feb. 28
• Cottontail Rabbit, Snowshoe Hare, White-tailed and Black Tailed Jackrabbit Extended Falconry Season- Statewide Sept. 1-March 31

SHOOT THEM!!!!
In Massachusetts, they're a Protected Class.
They even get preferential treatment when applying for state jobs. Those pesky wrabbits!!

You can here unless it's on the "endangered species" or "protected" list.

Contact your local game warden. Vermont law says if an animal is damaging your property, you have a right to "remove" the pest.
HOWEVER: Vermont law is very clear about how to dispose of an animal carcass.
SO: If you "don't ask, don't tell" and use sub-sonic .22 caliber ammo(very quiet)... :-)

My neighbor just sits on his back porch with his 22 and shoots any thing that wanders in his back yard! When I'm in my patch working I hear - pop-pop-pop! Needless to say I always use his front door when I visit!

Most states allow for pest removal on your property, and relocating animals is illegal in some states, ignorance of the law is no excuse if you get caught -- so do what you gotta do, quietly and discreetly.
