I'm growing a giant cabbage at the rear of my pumpkin patch. With the high winds we experienced on Friday a number of half inch long pine needles have blown onto the cabbage plant and are nestled where the leaves emerge from the stem. I've picked as many as I can with my hands and am wondering if I need to remove 100% of the needles. If so not sure what to use. A vacuum might damage the leaves. Tweezers might work but I do have big hands.

I solved my issue this morning by pouring water out of a watering can without the nozzle. The water washed all the needles away and the dirt that had splashed up on the leaves.
