My main broke in the 40 mph winds we had. It broke at the tip. What do I do now. Do I take the secondary closest to the tip and make that my new main?

You really have no other choice. I,ve snapped mine off two years in a row and mine was from rough handling. That is very painful!!! I have to admit the secondarys will still grow a decent pumpkin.

choose the most aggressive 2ndary from a foot or two of the break..... in a week or 2, you wont be able to tell it broke.
