I'm a long way from you, think2much. I agree with Just Bill, I'd say just start over, you still have time to do well.

I had to restart this year due to a seedling that dies on me. I will only be about a week behind. Start new ones. I would start them up until the end of May, maybe a few weeks later, just to have one for Halloween.

last year i started may 15, rabbit ate half that seedling, the first 3 pollinations didnt take, didnt have a fruit set until july 24. Mid august started with problems such as vine rot and powdery mildew. Still managed to take a 580 pound pumpkin to the weighoff. You still have time.

I forgot to mention that was in a 350 square foot patch. I am sure 1000 lbs could have been possible even with the later start.

I'm also a new grower in Allentown.
I've read alot of past diaries and message board posts to know that you still have plenty of time to begin again. :O)

Colorado state record was started very late. End up at 1,308 pounds. Get em started and grow them big!
