Well, my sedge nutt grass looks like its going to have a great year..... I cant really spray it with round up....
I am thinking of torching it.... Anyone else use a Weed Dragon? 500 BTU's....aught to do some damage......

Wiz, I'm a weed dragon guy, but mine is only 125k BTU's. 500k BTU's is either going to be 4 times faster than mine or it's going to put you into a low orbit:)

2 questions....1. with a Weed Dragon 500k BTU, how deep can you burn. 2. What is the area of dragon smokerz outlet.

Why can't you use Roundup now?

Wiz, the 125k works fine for me and most of the time, I have it dialed way back. I'm only zapping very young weeds only 1/2"-1" tall and don't need full power.

I used Roundup 3 feet from my artichokes and boy did I pay the price!
They did recover but I would hate that to happen to my pumpkins..............

You only heat the plant until the cells cook. To much heat is not good. The Weed Burner used to be my favorite tool. Planting carrots, or lettuce burn your row and plant seeds

I'm all over using the weed burner this year. Though I haven't used it as yet my plan is to singe and not heat up the soil to the tip of the weeds roots.

This sedge nut grass iZ tough stuff to kill.. Takes 3 times the roundup strength to at least kill the grass blades...So much product, I am hoping that this heat kills the grass and the nutt....and faster to do too.....guess we will see. I think the 500BTU unit is overkill. I hear it needs a bigger take to operate at full effciency....125 should work just fine....

Joe, LookZ like I am getting sold on the BP2512 unit....400K BTU's. HaZ adjustable squeezE and a long hose.....2 1/2 bell, it seemZ to be more customizeable....with a back pack as well....32 lbs full tank on the back....

The tank and line freeze up on extended use

My tank does get a frosty coating after 30-45 minutes of continued use. Never caused any problems, but I usually give it a rest a that point.
