Manure to me is fresh out of the ass it came from. Aged Manure which you refer to is a compost...

I know one grower who composts hog manure and corn stalk bedding from hoop buildings. He has grown several pumpkins over 1000#, with a best over 1300#.

Hog manure is full of ecoli be carefull, I wouldn't use it unless it was composted a couple years.

all manure is full of e coli bacteria. so are most soils. wash your hands after applying manure and for goodness sakes don't eat it. anything beyond that is paranoia.

What now you tell me I am not supposed to eat it...I saw no label stating this...this is surely a lawsuit...I shall contact my lawyer just as soon as I can get off the toilet.

fresh hog manure has higher amounts of ecoli you stand a better chance of getting ecoli from hogs, I know all manure has ecoli ! I've always been told to be careful handling hog manure. What about running cows in to be milked and one kicks it's legs up and you get a mouth full? Linus you should have cooked it to 180 degrees first!
