I just got my soil test back and said I was very low in Nitrogen and med level on the Phosphorus. What can I do to bring these levels up for a sucessful year? Pray for lightning to hit? LOL

Blood meal, fish meal is 12-0-0 and the best bet for your pumpkin. Calcium Nitrate is also a good pick. Slow and sure ways to hit the plant with at prime 4-5 leaf to 7 ft. vine range, timing is critical. Put the fert on at two weeks prior to transplant for best option. It shouldn't be too late though if you do it now or soon.

Ryan, I'm no soil guy but I was very low in nitrogen last year too according to my test, but many growers told me not to worry because it was still locked up. It changes daily and once the temps stay steadily warm (not just a few days) it can go up.

Apply a handfull of 21 0 0 stuffs fast acting and lasts about 20 days
