In the past the first leaf on my plants has always been bigger which makes it easy to point the plant in the right direction when puting it in the ground. This year I have run into a weird problem. I have a plant where the second leaf has grown faster than the first leaf. and they are the same size. I lost track of which was which and I don't know which direction to point the plant. is their any way to tell which is which?

Ah Ha found some photo evidence in my diary. The plant is slightly off center in the pot and the first leaf is the one towards the side with more dirt. :) FYI apparently the 3rd leaf can come out on either the left or right of the first leaf so that doesn't help.

If you don't have to rush it to the garden , leave it . As it grows it willshow you.

In my limited experience the second leaf gets bigger eventually.
If you are seriously concerned you could plant it sideways and turn the vine when it decides which way to lay down, just do it slow and when its warm, should be able to tur
