Mine was a bit slow to get out of the soil but when it did I was amazed in the size of the tap root/hypocotyl. It came out of the seed about the size of a McDonalds straw! It should be in the ground within the week.
My soil may of been just a bit too dry to get the real quick germination.

Mine's been in the patch for about a week. It's doing very well. Like yours, mine germinated really strong. Some of the edges of the leaves curled a little when I put it in the patch. I'm hoping it was simply due to the transition. Other than that it's growing.

@ leines My tap root was curious looking too. It had a small indented line going from the leaves to the soil line. It almost looked like two fused stems or a crack running down. It has since taken on a normal look and is running like a raped ape. Cheers.

Old saying, around here anyway.
Did you ever see a raped ape running???
NO??
You never will. That's how fast they move.
NO idea of the origin, or where the Bat Cave is???

The actual bat cave is down the road a few miles, it's also the name of our little town here in NC and the longest fissure cave in the Americas, believed to be the second longest world wide. It is now part of the Nature Conservancy and pretty much off limits. Not a bad place to live if you like curvy roads and hills.

Finally got ours to sprout last night, after resoaking it in a bit of secret mixture and cranking the germination chamber up to 90 degrees. YEA! Placed it in our 1-1/2 gallon pot with sterilized seed mix, and a bit of Great White Myco.
