It's obvious that there are some users of this sight have no interest in helping other growers by sharing ideas and information. It's to bad that there are some that find it funny to give false information and use the sight for personal attacks. With the season starting and worries of germination and good seed vigor stressing people out I'm asking others to please use the ignore feature on their user settings to stop a certain person from ruining this informative sight. I have no more time to give on this nonsense. I have enough to deal with growing pumpkins.

Is there a reason why this particular person can't be banned from the site altogether? I would think that there's enough complaints to justify the ban.

I don't see why i'm not sure what Ken D's policy is on that. I gotta apologize for getting caught up in all the distraction with this person. At first I was a big fan of letting it roll of my back but unfortunetly my emotions got the better of me and I took the bait. I like most growers take issue with people cutting others down who want to aid in helping growers reach their goals in this hobby.

On a stock bulletin board that I frequent every poster and even every post can be rated. You can also ignore a poster. I find it very useful to view a posters rating when deciding whether or not to rely upon the information they posted. It also displays how many people are ignoring them. If this were adopted on Big Pumpkins, Amelio would have a very low rating and a high number of people ignoring him. A new grower would not get bamboozled by his spew.

i think more than ignore....everyone should do their absolute best not to respond to any post by this one person. If he posts something that you think might lead a new grower astray, phrase your response in a manner that gives correct information and without acknowledging that one person. If there is no interaction, that one person might find this board not to be so interesting.

Everyone, take the next 30 seconds to upgrade your life.

Go to the top right hand corner of the page, click on User Settings.

In there, are a bunch of boxes. Go to the bottom box.
Type in "amelio".
Make sure the "ignore" button is selected.
Click to update settings!
Done!

If everyone would do this, he would be talking in an empty room.
