Last year I had a small problem with wind in my patch. It looks like in some diaries that there are some nets or fence that would help control the wind. Wanted to know what you like the best and where might I get some.

Most growers I know use silt fence, around $30 for a 3 x 100 foot roll at Home Depot or Lowe's.

A word of caution Blake...I used the silt fence VTSteve mentioned in his post and it did a fine job IF i made sure the posts were really secure. The day after Memorial Day last year was very windy for our part of PA and I had done a poor job of pounding in the posts of the fence (the posts are wooden and quite blunt, I had trouble pounding them into my rock-hard ground). I came home from work to find the fence had blown down and was intertwined with my plants. Totally my fault but I'm guessing that Kansas gets more high winds than PA.

Silt fence can be bought at home dot for 30 dollars a hundred feet or so. I try to double the fenceing around and staple it a bit more. The silt fenceing can also help with pest control. I MOUND up dirt over the fence to help with protection and keeping the woodchucks away.

any good ideas for posts? Ive used treated 2X4's and they are so hard to pound in deep enough the tops get smashed and eventually split.

Yes! Silt fence is not enough by itself. I use metal fenceposts to reinforce the wooden stakes and in between the wooden stakes to keep the nylon fabric from flopping around.
I knew I should have added that info in my first post :-(
