The following is a link to a fundraising effort our son is doing. The GVGO has put out a challenge to all our members to raise funds for this worthy cause. I know there are many that needs funds and we respectfully know that and thank you for at least reading this and tollerating it in the main message board.
Dear Friends and Family, Hi there everyone, Jacob is getting his head shaved this year when the Cops for Cancer program visits his school to show support for the Cancer Society for obvious reasons which you are all familiar with. He wants others to have the help his Dad(Me) had when going through the battle with Cancer this past winter.
Simply click the link at the bottom of this e-mail to view my personal page and look for the blue button that says Support JacobandDad. Donating online is secure and saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs. Any amount is appreciated and matters so much! Please note that you will receive a tax receipt immediately by e-mail.
Thanks in advance for your support! Click here to visit my personal page. If the text above does not appear as a clickable link, you can visit the web address: http://convio.cancer.ca/site/TR?px=4297176&pg=personal&fr_id=11728&fl=en_CA&et=FlVuE-_JVLTdSPDd7_Q--Q&s_tafId=204539

Our current GVGO President Kirk has been battling throat cancer all winter & his son Jacob is supporting him by shaving his head at school to help raise money to support the Cancer Society. The good news is that kirk is starting to feel better after the many treatments & his doctors are very happy with the results so far. He hopes to be able to return to work soon.
Jane & I have put out a challange (on the GVGO message board) last week to all GVGOers & growers everywhere to match or beat our donation, but really any amount donated is gratefully appreciated.
We all have been affected by this horrible disease at one time in our lives, so let's help support Jacob & Kirk to beat their goal. One day we'll find a cure for this horrible disease, but they need the funds to make it happen. Thank you.
Jane & Phil
