I don't know any of the other posters but it seems to me that the tolerance level for other opinions has gone backwards in the few years i've been following this site. There seems to be a lot of side taking lately.
Is this just my imagination?

There is only so much that can be said about giant pumpkins, the method is pretty much down. At this point the only thing left to talk about is how much bigger can they get before it impossible to get any bigger.

Just your imagination. This stuff has been happening on here for the last 13 years. Only the players change, the game stays the same

If you took the time to go back years in the general discussion board you will find seed selling posts that divided people big time. We had a time where fake seeds were floating around here like a fart in church. And that second problem still has battle lines drawn but all the parties don't speak anymore.

This site is a microcosm of society, you have good and bad. Givers and thieves. And some who's sole purpose is to make people as miserable as themselves. Thank God for the ignore button

It's a open forum message board. You can develope many great friendships or throw punches in cyber space. I have done both so I ain't no saint. Try your best to not take the bait. And help those looking for help. Try to steer them in the right direction with encouragement but always tell them to seek more than one opinion. And have fun....winters over....game on!

yep same old same old been that way for 12 years since I have been here. You should have been around about the white seed versus tan seed debate....winter times are so exciting...like kids in the back seat of a car on a road trip...Don't make me stop this car

Nick, I disagree the method is down. Everything evolves, some sports\hobbies slower than others, and sometimes you're in a standstill. For example, I think greenhouse growing in Northern lattitudes has come a very long way in just a couple years, and will continue to do so.

Shannon......did you have the invisable line in the backseat between siblings? I was the youngest so I was middle. Both elbows cocked and ready for space violation from Chicago to Elkhorn, WI and back as my grandparents lived up there and many snowmobiling, fishing, water skiing .....back to point.....lol.....

Shannon, or any one else, did your father ever warn the whole back seat misfit game that he was gonna pull over and.....it was the old days....and it would not be fun....

......but my sister would start giggling and we all would start giggling while trying not to....which made it worse.......we made my old man insane.....lol. by the way, he never pulled over. Let's all try to keep our boundaries in order and respect each other. It ain't that hard.

My dad would pull over and made us sorry.he did. I'll be honest though, we deserved it. I have 6 brothers and on a trip they would put a cab on the truck and throw us in the back.

It seems when we can't grow, we start nit picking and jabbing each other with sharp sticks. Then spring comes and the mood improves.

It was Mum that lost her temper first, I got to walk home one day from end of the road. 10km of walking gives plenty of time to work out a really good apology.

Shaz,(grew up with grandparents) when my brother and I would get into it and my 4'11 tall grandmother said she was going to pull the car over......SHE PULLED THE CAR OVER!!,,LOL!

The really bad part about it when she pulled over was since it was kinda hard for her turn around in the seat and throw her haymakers is that it didnt matter where she hit you as long as she made contact!!..LOL

I would always cralled back into the back window ledge since I was smaller then my brother, so he mostly was the one who got busted up the most,,lol

The good ole days. If you behaved badly you got takin to the wood shed. Or made to get your own switch. And if you opened you mouth without thinking you could get punched in it. (sure got my fair share. lol) Now days you can say and do what ever you want.

Ill remember the laZt time I had to pullZ over,

A ROAD trip to , well wont say where...It started in.... I stopped the truck, told em all to get out... They got out on the side of the road....then I shut the door, got in my side...and started to take off. Drove about 100 hundred feet, just to the top of the hill...... till they started to take off after the truck. Then I stopped, and waited . To get back in they had to promise to cooperate.... The road trip waZ never so much more enjoyable after that....Never had a problem again.....

This is the best thread all winter!

And spring is here. Yesterday I continued the compost hauling that I started in the fall. This is going to be a good year!

When my son and his cousin are in the back of my BMW, they always get into it, and I always yell at them to knock it off. Some things never change.

Well lets just say I had two brothers...and if we misbehaved my Mom would stop the car. Worse yet she would warn us and give us some ultimatum. I remember clearly going to a Pizza Hut and when the waitress asked me what I would like. I had to tell her a glass of Ice Water, and nothing else because I had misbehaved. My mother denies this.. I remember it clearly..

Sorry Spudder, I know we've gotten a bit off your original topic, but it is fun to think of car pull- overs. My dad didn't need to pull over. He stuck 3 of his boys in the back of the pickup. Since I'm the youngest, someone stuck me in the very back (against the tailgate). My dad hit a bump. Down went the tailgate. Out I went. My older brothers thought their problem was solved! My lesson learned: 1. Never trust a tailgate! 2. Fasten everything in back of trucks down good!---Especially pumpkins!!

I remember those days. But the last time i had to pull the car over it was in a hurry. I flung the door open, leaned out the door and lost it right on top a dead skunk. Could'nt have picked a worse spot to be sick.

Here's a white trash road trip some may relate too. This would happen in the early to mid 70's. My dad had family in Oklahoma & we would go to visit ( in the back of that damn truck) & he would put mattress's down in the back of the truck for 6 boys to be comfortable ( didn't work.) Well as some may know Coors beer wasn't shipped east of the Mississippi in those days so everyone in my area cherished the taboo beer...LOL
We my dad loved Coors beer so before we left Oklahoma to head back home to Ohio dad would go to a market & get about 25-30 cases of Coors beer. And then took all the mattress's out of the back of the truck layed the cases of beer out in the bed of the truck & put the mattress's back on top of the beer & we sleep on it all the way home. And dad & his friends were set for Coors for the next few months...LOL
There my friends is a true white trash road trip
