Setting here, mind spinning - its is rainning - I am bored !
At what age are you - (17-26, 27-36, 37-40, 41-45, 46-56, 57-67, 68 - 100) and growing, pumpkins and or watermelons, tall corn, tall sun flower, big head sun flower, long gourd, or what ever ?

62 and enjoying first year of retirement. Hopefully this year I will be able to give these pumpkins proper attention. Snow here this morning. Windy.Supposed to be rain, snow and wind next few days so I am in the greehouse potting Ghost Peppers into 2 gal. nursery pots. Will post on my diary later. I'm getting antsy too!!! Temp. in patch 44 dgs. right now. Besides regular veggie garden(we can a lot) I will be growing Giant pumpkin, watermelon, tall corn and sunflowers and possibly tomatoes( Lord willing) The Ghost Peppers are for annoying neighbors. 50 and nifty; got AG bug in 2008, had to skip 2011 by doc's orders. Been working on a greenhouse frame today and beginning to wonder if I'm truely up to it (though doc said I could this year).... currently 62f with 15 min to sunset, hit 74 (and that sun was BRUTAL, felt like old times in the patch hehehe)
This year it's Kins, Melons, LG's, Maters, and other stuff.

older than dirt, at least I feel that way some days. Well let's just say over 50. We've been growing or trying to grow since the mid 90's. We grow pumpkins, field pumpkins, squash, LG, watermelons, tomatoes & cabbages, with limited success. Proud members of the GVGO, Team Lunatic, European club & many of the other giant pumpkin clubs in the US.
