You have NOOOOO idea how bad I have spring fever. Only difference here is there has been no winter so when it's in the 40-50's in Ohio your body tells you spring is here but the calender is a rude awakening.

So true Huffpumpkins. Up here in Michigan same thing. Thinking if the patch is to soft and the tractor would sink. So I stare at the patch. I am either envisioning what it will look like come spring or trying to think the patch so it would be stable to go in. Either way I cannot wait to get in the patch.

Especially now because I have all my supply's, seeds picked out. The seeds I grew that I am planting I went thru 100's to find the best three or so, and i even filed them.

I thought it was just a new grower thing :)I'm out in the patch 3 times a day just looking at the cover crop,,,,checking the same water barrels for what ever reason,,,,looking at my stash of growth products,,,,,staring at the compost pile,,,,,,the list goes on and on!!!!!

I better go out there now and see if anything has changed in the past 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!!:)

To early to think about it as we (possible) have 3" to 7" of snow coming and two more weather events after that !

OK, yes I do have my seeds ready, my crosses wrote down, my list of additives, ready to go to the store - I am getting spring fever, I will be ready :o)!

Dasnowskier, Yes we do need that deep freeze.

It is a doubled edged sword. I can't wait because I love everything about the struggle ahead..the key word being struggle. Yep in 60 days I will have a mind that will never stop spinning until I get one to scale, and that is if I get one to scale. It is at this time of year when I know how much work, worry, thought and emotions that are right around the corner that it will actually make me appreciate the somewhat unfettered mind for these next 60 days. Like a reluctant anticipation. ....and all for what? Only we that grow know why. These next 60 days are like the calm before the storm. Yep, I can't wait and yes, I am getting the fever.

To add another edge to that sword, I still see a ton of insects flying around on days like today. As much as I want spring, I am wondering what's in store for us with insects this summer.
