I have sold many,You take some photos & show to managers at large vegtable markets.I had 1 market that would give me $300 for a 500 pder.they would buy 5 each year for 1500$.I also had a gentlemen who would take 2 kins each year for $1000.00 to display in his yard.I would throw in a melon for $100 more. You just need to talk to people throughout the season the opportunities will come to you.If your not a good salesman & can't take the rejection that you will get from many.Find a place that sells pumpkins in the fall & sell it on consignment. This the easiest way to go,but you will have to give a commission.

Handyhomegrown's right. You have to do the leg work. I sell my generic ag's for 20 buck's each to a local pumpkin patch store after the owner agrees to buy my whole crop.

I sell some to local garden centers for displays,to draw people in to buy field pumpkins and seasonal decorations. As Al said, Hotels/Inns buy them also.

Selling or renting out your pumpkins is a good way to recoup some funds for the next growing season. I know a few growers who sell their pumpkins. Using them for charity fundraisers is a great way to support many great causes. We have done this a few times in the past. On the other hand we couldn't bear to sell one of our pumpkins or watermelons. We enjoy putting them out on display in our front yard for all to see. We live on a major Hwy & have met thousands of people over the years & every one of them left with a smile on their face. Watching the kids faces is priceless & we couldn't buy that with a few hundred $$$. We also enjoy carving them up for Halloween. We get a couple hundred people stop by at night for pictures, but only a couple seem to want candy. LOL.
