It’s starting to seem like another lifetime since I’ve been on the site. But after 13 radiation treatments, I get one each day M-F and 2 chemo treatments, every Tuesday after radiation, I’m starting to feel like I’m no longer at death’s door.

My throat’s tore-up because of the radiation, but at least the tumor is starting to shrink. It turns-out I have one long tumor. Up the inside of my right lung and up into my lymph node above my collar bone. They initially thought I had 2 tumors.

I’m just happy that I don’t want to lie down constantly like I have been. I know I still have the big round of chemo after radiation to go. But with everyone’s thoughts and prayers, this is starting to feel more like a wake-up call than the death sentence it did at first.

I want to thank everyone again. Hopefully my strength will hold-up, it sure seems like I missed a lot the last couple weeks.

Drink lots of protein shakes and eat ice cream. When I had radiation treatment on my throat I couldn't hardly swallow and it felt like knives when the food went down. The protein shakes and ice cream went down without nearly as much pain and you need the protein to rebuild all of the tissue that is being damaged.

Keep us updated on your progress, what I have just read is good news for sure. Remember I have been there Jack and came out the other side. So keep positive, that is 90% of the fight.
