I try to plug mine in about a week before; our ground stays so cold that I feel it is needed.

A couple of guys here plug them in a week or so ahead to get Micro and other stuff they mix in going a little a head of time. ???

I dont plan on using them this year,I think it will be a scorcher of a year.I really dont think they helped much last year.May was all mud,warm mud dont do a thing.

i just know with the very weird warm winter that the lake should warm faster since their is no ice on so i think the middle of march i'm going to start slamming some big shovel heads i know its not pumpkin related but man i cant wait to fish wiz i would build a fire to warm soil cheaper than electric and you can cook dinner at the same time
