To those of you who may know Edmund Hemphill, I just wanted to let everyone know he is very ill. For approximately a year he has had kidney problems and suffered kidney failure on the past weekend. Currently he is a long way from home in hospital seeking treatment and it looks as if he will be going on dialysis . He is in bad shape so please keep him in your prayers.

Edmund all the best to a quick and full recovery

as eluded to, Edmund has had problems for a while now. He was so looking forward to this upcoming season as he built himself a greenhouse for 2 plants.
He really wanted to give the world record a run this year as he knew his time in the patch was limited.

Thanks for the update Charlie.

I was talking with Edmund last month. I knew he wasn't feeling good but I didn't realize he was in the hospital. We had the pleasure to meet him a few years back when we visited him & Joan in NB. We have kept in contact by phone over the years discussing pumpkins & trading ideas. A very knowledgeable fellow.

Edmund, Jane & I are thinking of you & pray you regain your strength enough to fulfill your dreams in the patch. We'll call when you get home. Take care my friend.
