Yesterday My Son and I went to the Vermont Giant Pumpkin growers meeting!
I was very impressed at the Quality of the the Meeting. It was very well organized and informative, we even had a few Laughs. It takes a lot of dedication for this to happen from a great group of very friendly people.
Haveing a passion for growing the pumpkins and other veggies! Everyone had a great time,espicaly me! I was so moved, I am ready to plant some seeds (but which ones now)?
After listening to the guest speaker (for the soil) I am eager to get my soil test done and have the soil "corrected" for lack of other words. I finaly know the importance of getting the soil tested. The other presentations were also done in a very enjoyable manor!
I know that it must take lots of hrs to do this, and it was great!
I can't express my grattatude enough, for the people that put the work into prepairing for the meeting!!!
Everyone that brought some sweet snacks to munch on were also great!
I also enjoyed shareing info with the other growers too!
This group deserves a GREAT BIG THANK YOU!!!!

tcat, the Incredible part of yer post, is information is available to others....this type of thing, happens awl over the country!!! Kudo's to Tom P., for appearing at most of them!!!! LOL More important, is that it DOES happen awl over the country...find a local growers org., ask ?'s, and you will learn!!! Peace, Wayne

BTW, Tom P. will be at the KGPG Grower's Seminar on 3/3/12. Two other featured speakers will be Chris (Superman) Kent, and Bill Rodonis!!! Be there or be square!!!

If only we had the same level of interest in the U.K that you have over the pond, from get togethers, supplies etc etc. One day.
