When getting a soil test what should I tell the lab I am looking for?Is it just a general all around soil test? Thanks so much!

So. Cal, you should ask for a complete analysis so you can get a full picture of your soil. A&L Western Labs is a great place to do your test. Their "S3C" package is a complete soil analysis and runs $33 to $35 depending on if you want to have them give you recommendations or not. They usually have your results back to you within 10 days or less. There is a place on the submittal from that you can tell them the type of crop you are growing is giant pumpkins. When you get your test back I recommend you email a copy of your test to Tom Privitera - you will see him on here as "Bohica(Tom)". He will be able to help you with recommendations. A&L's website is www.al-labs-west.com/
