Darren, on city water here too. Had a whole house carbon filer put in to take out chlorine and what ever else chemical wise carbon pull out. Just personally just felt I did not need all the chlorine going into the patch plus what ever else the city was adding to the water. May check into a system. Another issue with city water is the Ph level as well. You may want to have that tested. Fortunately here the Ph here is a nice 7.0, but some cities have very high Ph levels, you may need to address that too.

Ps, could you send your confirmation for the Ohio Valley auction please, thanks and have a good one.

After thought, just depends on what your city is doing to the water. Here even though we are in the township, the city we are near decided to hook up township homes to city water. Once a year they send out an annual report to let you see what is in the water. There was a long list of chemicals, many I could not even pernounce much less tell you what they were there for. So putting in the Carbon system was more for family heath reasons, plus having more purified water for outdoor usage had to be a benifit as well.

PH of city water can be greatly affected if they have put in concrete mains within the last 15 years or so. Do check your water at the tap/spigot if using city water. Also ask if they are fluoridating, and if they are using chlorine or chloranimine...
