you say not to water to early so not to disturb the pm spores what happens to the pm spores? Do they evaporate with the dew or dry into the leaf? Sounds like good advice just trying to understand it. Thanks

I'm not Pap, but this is what I do and seldom ever get PM on my plants. Compost Tea when sprayed on the leaves, helps suppress foliar diseases, and increases the amount of nutrients available to the plant as a soil drench. Plants secrete carbohydrates (including sugars) and proteins. These secretions attract good and bad bacteria and fungi. Spray on new growth to prevent foliar disease such as powdery mildew. Begin to spray when you get the first true leafs on your plants. By spraying your plants with compost tea you are coating the leaves with good microbes. That will limit the space available for harmful microbes to attach themselves to leaves.

whisky after the leaves dry? the spores (if any present ) are still there. your just helping not to spread them by over head watering when the leaves are wet. you still need to spray for powder mildew at the appropriate time during your season. pap

Thanks Pap and marco. peace it depends on your spray. if its organic like bacillis subtilis or compost tea then 2 0r 3 times a week {little and often} if a contact chemical maybe once a week {should be instructions on the bottle} if systemic every 1 to 2 weeks
