Last season was my first year growing, and was a great year. Looking for advice on increasing late season gains. I had two plants and both shut down with in days of each other. kin #1 had gains up to day 56 and kin #2 pollinated 1 week later and went to day 50. Night time lows may have lot to do with it (average 50-55), I'm thinking that I must be missing something else. Any info would be appreciated.

If a pumpkin suddenly stops growing that early, there is likely a problem with the plant or fruit such as: fungal disease, trauma, over fertilization, poisoning, mice, insects, under nutrition, bacteria, virus (unfortunately the list of things that can go wrong is not short). The gains should taper and still be gaining slightly at day 80-90 or longer, even with cool nights.
