veterans day is upon us once again. id like to take some time away from all the normal pumpkin stuff to honor all who have served our country.they are our true heros.

i have been around a while.i was born a week before so many good souls died at pearl harbor, was a young child when our troops froze there asses off in korea, watched as thousands of my fellow marines died in viet nam,and then of course, we added more to the death totals with men @ women lost to mines and traps in the middle east.

id like to take this opportunity to thank all veterans. alive or dead, for serving their country. god bless all of them.

I'm glad I decided to become a Marine. It gave me a specific view on life. I still remember when I was 18 years old, rifle in hand with full combat load on guard duty. Missed holidays, overseas, away from family, no money, no sleep, home sick, cold nights in the bush...etc. Freedom isn't free. I served with pleasure. God bless America, I'd like to publicly thank God for the safety and grace he's shown me throughout my military career. God truly has blessed our country and we need to never forget it freedom isn't free. Thank you lord Jesus!

I was with the 1st Air Cavalry Division at An Duc, Vietnam. We had lots of casualties while I was there in 1965. It was our unit that fought in the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley. So many young men came of age there and many never came home alive. I still have not forgiven the draft dodgers who went to Canada to escape service to their country. Marv
