How in the name of God can someone grow a World Record Field Pumpkin and as a member of a club for several years not even have a seed requested for up and coming auctions.I see World Record Pumpkin, squash, long gourd, watermellon plasterd all over home pages and nothing of a world record field pumpkin. Not only 1@ 162lbs but 2@ 162lbs on the same plant.Believe me when i tell you that it will never happen again. What does it take to get some recognition!!!!

Carl, my friend, breathe slowly. There have been many requests for John's seeds and by his own words he will try to support the clubs once the fruit are cracked and he knows the seed counts.

[email protected]. Have made requests, no replies. It is a great accomplishment, one of which we would all love to take part in to help take the field pumpkin arena to a new level.

if everyone would just please remember to be patient, and respectful to john if and when you do get in touch with him , he is one of the nicest growers i know out there, and it is a very stressfull time for him with a world record, you all have seen the horror stories with the other world record growers, i'm not saying that anyone will do this , but just a reminder,, a little note saying THANK-YOU goes a long way, smiles everyone! scott :-)

I'm with you Scott, but Carl asked why no club has asked John for seeds for their club's upcoming auctions. Several of us have responded that we would LOVE to include John's seeds but have no contact information.
