To cool Don!! Looks like you had a good time, Grave Digger and giant pumpkins, for people who like BIG things it doesn't get much better than that! Looked like Dennis Anderson enjoyed it too.

Great job Don!!! Poor Don hasn't even seen it yet. We just hung up the phone. It's only 9:30 there so he won't see the broadcast for another 3 hours. The producers painted it orange! LOL. He gave Anderson, the driver of grave digger some seeds & a copy of Don Langevin's book. He's all kinds of sorry he forgot to name the 1288 Wallace as the mother. No matter. The whole segment was good for our hobby. The average viewer wouldn't appreciate the details we all look for.
Great show Don! Thanks!

Man that was great! Lasted a long time also.Yes Christy I heard them say largest pumpkin in the world also then they said west of the Mississippi.First thing I saw was they painted it also but thats Ok.Christy I was talking to over 100 people about you and your pumpkin the other day you need not worry about what the media says at times(we know)

Christy, Don corrected Conan elsewhere in the broadcast stating the 1658 was the biggest grown west of the Mississippi. Like all broadcasters, Conan has selective hearing. It's an MSNBC trademark.
Bad hair too. Yikes.

I think Conan was disappointed when Don said he wasn't emotionally attached to the pumpkin. It would have been great for ratings if Don had fell to his knees and began sobbing when the smashing took place!

I liked the out there when they were waiting for Gravedigger to line up and Conan said the 'I love you and do you love me too' and 'will you take off your teeshirt now' then 'I bet you can't hear anything I'm saying' (or close to those words!) hehehehe
We all know who grew the biggest no matter what Conan thought-yay Christy. Don may have the most media-exposured one this year, that's for sure.

im back in iowa thanks everyone.i had to correct them several times when they said world record sorry about that christy, they said they would try and correct it i still havent seen the show i was tired and went to bed- they also did paint job on it to make it more orange, then i was forgetting how i just call pumpkin by name and 1288 wallace i goofed that part up . it was fun for sure i had more things i wanted to get out. alot of things planned in questions dont make final show and conan makes stuff on the go to ask, dennis anderson owner of grave digger did good job he also stuck his arm inside pumpkin as i took out seeds from underneath -he planned on hiting it with tires until he felt how thick it was with one arm in and one on outside he changed plans and thought it would roll the truck and needed trannsmisson or driveline to impact pumpkin
