Just an FYI for AVGVG members that we now have a Master growers acknowledgement for members who achieve certain benchmarks in a variety of categories.
What is isn't- no Ten Gallon hat, no fonzie jacket and no Stanley Cup Trophy.
What it is- an acknowledgement, by way of a frameable certificate, of that grower's accomplishments in achieving a high standard in a particular giant vegetable category. The exact definitions of what meets Master Grower status will be announced soon. Any AVGVG member in OR out of province/state will be eligible for this award. As our club continues to grow, we recognize that all of our membership brings something to the table. The Master Grower Award will allow all members to showcase their talents on an equal footing with other high profile categories such as pumpkins and squash. More to come.....
