Am i right in my thinking that there is no clone of a pumpkin until about 7th generation of selfed seeds. At that point the percentage of doubled genes, barring bad odds would give consistency of seeds in an individual pumpkin of nearly 100%.

When we refer to a "Clone" pumpkin growers are actually referring to a "cutting" that has been taken from a plant and kept alive over winter.

amelio...i had to pause for a long time to read your last post. You must remember i am not a newcomer to this board. I used that time to try to balance your anger out of the post...the four sentences are difficult for me to read. I will only comment on the last 4 words...last year my daughter helped "grow damaged food for dinosaurs" that the neighborhood kids called a dinosaur. What did your son think it looked like?

oooh, you had to mention rabbits..that was one of my projects for today...build a quick rabbit barrier before tomorrow....not enough time....tomorrow my daughter and myself might have to construct it quicker
