Just Curious..If you could make a "Dream Cross"..what would it be? With all the great seeds now available from the last 3 years there are so many choices when deciding what crosses to make. Also there seem to be some trends as far as preferred females and preferred male pollinators. For example: for a few years the 898 was used almost exclusively as a male pollinator...are any of the newer seeds showing results as male pollinators. Mark

I believe you mean the 664.5 Liggett. If you do, keep in mind the 664.5 has always done best on the female side. I know of no significant cross where it was the pollinator.

If you would like a 664.5 cross with the 664.5 as the pollinator, I have a 1030 Armstrong x 664.5 Liggett. Let me know if interested.

It already exists, the 1470 Wallace 2007, IS a 1502 (grown from a 1068) with 998.6 Pukos as the male.

One thing on shape too, the 998 tends to throw fruit that have concave blossom ends (thick internal however, and the 1068 line (including the 1502) tend to throw fruit with convex blossom ends.

Mixing the two would, I assume, cancel eachother out, and make for fruit with a nice flat blossom end, very thick too, and blow out resistant.

That is just what I would assume from looking at photos of the two lines.

I would not be shocked if the first 1700+ freak comes from the 1470.
