Not sure, but thinking that plants are sorta smart (maybe smarter than we are)??? Seeds are sprouting in the spring time when days are getting longer every day, and promoting growth...this time of year days are getting shorter and plants and their fruits are producing seeds to grow for next year??? Does this make any sense???? I am no expert, but it seems that your timing is wrong? If the seeds are sprouting, at least you know they are mature, viable seeds...try them in the spring, and see how they do. Peace, Wayne
